Brevoxyl Usage: Benzoyl peroxide is used to treat mild to moderate acne.
How to use Brevoxyl: this medication is for topical use on affected area only. Avoid using this in eyes, mouth & nose, & on inflamed or damaged skin. liquid wash or bar soap is used instead about soap one time or twice day. Wet the skin before applying this. Gently work up lather & rinse thoroughly. do not scrub skin. Creams, lotions or gels are usually applied once or two times day to affected area. very small amount is applied to affected area & rubbed in gently. Pads: Wash affected area about skin with mild cleanser & water then dry it. next apply pad, usually once or twice day to the skin as directed.
Brevoxyl side effects: Slight stinging, dryness & peeling may occur initially. Expect it. However, notify your pharmacist if the following effects occur: redness, irritation, scaly eruptions, rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.
Brevoxyl Precautions: Tell youre doctor your medical history, especially: other skin problems, any allergies. this medication may bleach hair and colored clothing. Avoid contact. Safe use of benzoyl peroxide at children under 12 years old has not been established. Benzoyl peroxide should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre pharmacist. it isnt known if it pill is excreted in to breast milk. Though there have no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Brevoxyl drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist about every medicines you may use, both prescription and nonprescription, especially: other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Brevoxyl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Brevoxyl special notes: this drug is available in many of forms such as lotion, cream, gel or cleanser & at various strengths (2.5% to 10%). some canbe purchased without prescription. Discuss various products with your pharmacist or doctor to determine the best one for you.
If you missed Brevoxyl dose: Use missed dose as soon as you remember and resume your regular dosing schedule.
Brevoxyl Storage: Store between 59 & 76 degrees F (15 and 24.4 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight.
