Jay Phyl Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dyphylline acts to widen air passages in the lungs to make breathing easier. this combination medication is used to relieve symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Jay Phyl: Take this pill as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. this drug is best taken with a full glass of water after a meal or snack.
Jay Phyl side effects: Headache, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety, irritability or nervousness may occur 1st several days as you're body adjusts to drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform youre doctor. Notify some your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, rash, vomiting, trouble sleeping, dizziness, flushing, tremors, mental confusion. Notify your healthcare professional if your breathing difficulty continues or worsens. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.
Jay Phyl Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), high blood pressure, history about ulcers or seizures, glaucoma, any allergies. Smoking can reduce effects of it medication. Inform some your pharmacist if you smoke before taking this. Limit your intake about caffeine containing products while taking this drug as it can increase risk of side effects. Caffeine is found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa and chocolate. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this pill are found in breast milk, consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Jay Phyl drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: blood pressure medicine, anti-seizure medications, antibiotics, steroids, thyroid hormones, 'water pills' (diuretics). don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Jay Phyl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, restlessness, irritability, headache, difficulty sleeping, loss about appetite, irregular heart rate, sweating, & seizures.
Jay Phyl special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this drug. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Jay Phyl dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Jay Phyl Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
