Hep Pak Usage: this med is an anticoagulant which prevents the blood from clotting. it is used to prevent & treat venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism & other conditions of blood clotting.
How to use Hep Pak: this med is administered by health care professional either as an injection or infused slowly into vein over period time. Blood tests will be done routinely to determine the appropriate dose.
Hep Pak side effects: this tablet can cause irritation, pain, redness or swelling in injection site. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform some your pharmacist. Notify your physician if you develop signs of possibly allergy: chills, fever, itchy skin, rash. Bleeding should be monitored for it may indicate dose is too high. Notify your pharmacist if you experience any about the following while using it medication: easy bruising, nose bleed, dark and tarry stools, blood in urine, bleeding episode. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Hep Pak Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: blood disorders, bleeding episodes, heart disease, ulcers, liver disease, kidney disease, any allergies. a preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in it product or in the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during 1st months of life (neonatal period). the risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts about benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, low blood pressure, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to doctor immediately should they occur. If possible, preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to effects of it pill. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with some your pharmacist. it isn't known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Hep Pak drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you take, especially of: blood thinners, aspirin, nitroglycerin, injectable antibiotics. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.
Hep Pak Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unexplained bleeding & bruising, stomach pain or swelling, back pain, blood in urine, vomiting blood, dizziness, & headache.
Hep Pak special notes: this drug is usually administered initially in hospital where your condition canbe monitored closely. Laboratory tests will be done periodically to be sure drug is working properly and to monitor for possible side effects.
If you missed Hep Pak dose: It's important to use each dose at the scheduled time. If you miss dose, contact your doctor who will help establish new dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Hep Pak Storage: Store this medication as directed. Properly discard about any unused medication after the expiration date.
