Medi Profen Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pill (NSAID), which relieves pain & swelling (inflammation). It's used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. it medication is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches & pain due to common cold or flu. this drug works by blocking enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever. do not give this medication to child younger than 2 years of age unless directed to do so by healthcare professional.

How to use Medi Profen: Shake the bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully & take this drug by mouth with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) about water unless your pharmacist directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this med, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on youre medical condition & response to therapy. in kid, dosage is also based on weight. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight, or consult physician or physician if you have questions. If repeat doses needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by physician. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before the full benefits of this tablet take effect. If you use this med since migraine headache, & pain isn't relieved or worsens after the 1-st dose, tell your doctor immediately. If you are treating yourself or giving this med to a children for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms do not improve within 24 hours, worsen or last since more then 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

Medi Profen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify youre healthcare professional or pharmacist promptly. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your physician immediately if any about these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, simple bruising or bleeding. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from the stomach or intestines. If you notice any of the following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks love coffee grounds. it drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of next highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your doctor or healthcare professional immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact you're pharmacist or pharmacist.

Medi Profen Precautions: this drug should not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using this drug, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths at the nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies at addition to those listed above. this pill may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. per day use of alcohol & tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase you're risk for stomach bleeding. Consult your physician or pharmacist for more information. this medication may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this product may contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist about the safe use of this product. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects about the drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. it med must be used only when clearly needed during 1st 6 months about pregnancy. it isnot recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to the potential for fetal harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. it tablet passes into breast milk. While their have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your physician before breast-feeding.

Medi Profen medication interactions: Before using it medication, tell your physician or physician of every prescription & nonprescription goods you may use, especially of: alendronate, other medications for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, high blood pressure medications (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). bucks every prescription & nonprescription medicine labels carefully since much of contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which are similar to this medication. If you are also taking aspirin, as prescribed by your healthcare professional for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take aspirin & consult you're doctor or healthcare professional before using ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

Medi Profen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

If you missed Medi Profen dose: If you are prescribed it med on regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss dose, use this as soon as you remember. If it is near time of next dose, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
