Scot Tussin Senior Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination med is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies & another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Scot Tussin Senior: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets should be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.
Scot Tussin Senior side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1'st several days as your body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify some your pharmacist if you develop any of these effects while taking this medication: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Scot Tussin Senior Precautions: Tell you're physician your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Scot Tussin Senior medication interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Scot Tussin Senior Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Scot Tussin Senior special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Scot Tussin Senior dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Scot Tussin Senior Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at bathroom.
