Hep Lock Usage: it pill is an anticoagulant which prevents blood from clotting. it is used to prevent & treat venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism & other conditions about blood clotting.
How to use Hep Lock: this medication is administered by a health care professional either as an injection or infused slowly into vein over period time. Blood tests will be done routinely to determine the appropriate dose.
Hep Lock side effects: this drug can cause irritation, pain, redness or swelling at injection site. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop signs of possibly allergy: chills, fever, itchy skin, rash. Bleeding must be monitored for it may indicate the dose is too high. Notify your doctor if you experience any of following while using this medication: simple bruising, nose bleed, dark & tarry stools, blood in urine, a bleeding episode. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Hep Lock Precautions: Tell youre doctor if you have: blood disorders, bleeding episodes, heart disease, ulcers, liver disease, kidney disease, any allergies. preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in it product or in the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during 1st months of life (neonatal period). the risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, LBP, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to doctor immediately should they occur. If possible, preservative-free product must be used when treating neonates. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to effects of this tablet. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with some your doctor. this is not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Hep Lock drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you take, especially of: blood thinners, aspirin, nitroglycerin, injectable antibiotics. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Hep Lock Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include unexplained bleeding & bruising, stomach pain or swelling, back pain, blood in urine, vomiting blood, dizziness, & headache.
Hep Lock special notes: this med is usually administered initially in hospital where your condition can be monitored closely. Laboratory tests will be done periodically to be sure drug is working properly & to monitor for possible side effects.
If you missed Hep Lock dose: it is important to use each dose at the scheduled time. If you miss dose, contact some your doctor who will help establish a new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Hep Lock Storage: Store it medication as directed. Properly discard of any unused medication after the expiration date.
