    Guaifenesin with dextromethorphan - oral

    Scot Tussin Dm2 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Scot Tussin Dm2: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase some your dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets should be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur first several days as youre body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if it drug makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially about: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your physician. for small amounts about this pill found in breast milk, consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, and seizures.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

    If you missed Scot Tussin Dm2 dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take this if It's near the time since next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Scot Tussin Dm2 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. don't store in the bathroom.
