    Coal tar shampoo - topical

    (kole tar)

    common brand names: Denorex, Neutrogena T/Gel, Pentrax, Tegrin, Zetar

    Doctar Usage: Coal tar shampoo is used to treat itching & skin flaking/irritation caused by certain skin conditions of head & scalp (e.g., dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis).

    How to use Doctar: Apply this drug onto the hair & scalp usually two times weekly; or as directed by youre physician. Shake bottle well before each application/shampoo. Wet your hair thoroughly with water & rub shampoo into lather on your hair & scalp. Rinse your hair well with water & repeat. this medicated shampoo is for use on scalp & hair only. do not use if you have open skin (e.g., sores/wounds) on your scalp. Avoid gettin any about this shampoo in your eyes. If eye contact occurs, rinse your eyes thoroughly with water. If eye irritation persists or worsens, contact you're pharmacist promptly. Avoid gettin any of this shampoo on youre clothes. this product may stain your clothing.

    Doctar side effects: Minor skin/scalp irritation or darkened/stained skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your pharmacist promptly. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: large and/or painful skin sores/pimples on scalp. An allergic reaction to this product is unlikely, but seek immediate doctor attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Doctar Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: other skin conditions, any allergies. this med may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure or wear protective clothing or a hat when outdoors. Tell you're physician if you are pregnant before using this medicated shampoo. it is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult some your doctor before breast-feeding.

    Doctar tablet interactions: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription tablet you may use, especially: other medicated shampoos or topical products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Doctar Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this product may be harmful if swallowed.

    Doctar special notes: don't share this product with others.

    If you missed Doctar dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If Its near the time of the following dose, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Doctar Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
