Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral
Cotuss Ms Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Cotuss Ms: Take this medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase youre dose or take this more often then directed. it medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack.
Cotuss Ms side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit youre intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your pharmacist if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Cotuss Ms Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history about drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. USD this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts about this tablet found in breast milk, consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Cotuss Ms drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take, including: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medication (e.g., codeine). Limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Cotuss Ms Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or fast heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Cotuss Ms special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking it tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Cotuss Ms dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near clock since the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cotuss Ms Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store at bathroom.
