Scot Tussin Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes and sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Scot Tussin: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or accompanied by high fever, notify some your physician. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Scot Tussin side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth and nose. These effects must subside as your body adjusts to drug. If they persist or become bothersome, inform youre healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Scot Tussin Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, pill allergies. money this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. it drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding. do not give this medication to a children younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by pharmacist.
Scot Tussin drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist what drugs you take, especially about: HBP drugs, anti-seizure pills, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy medication. don't take it drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or doctor approval.
Scot Tussin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose in child may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Scot Tussin dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if Its almost time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
