Clear Cough DM Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. this combination medication is used to treat cough associated with common cold, allergies & other respiratory illnesses.

How to use Clear Cough DM: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. the long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased.

Clear Cough DM side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur 1st several days as you're body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify your physician if you develop any of these effects while taking it drug: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.

Clear Cough DM Precautions: Tell your physician you're medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. for small amounts about it pill are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Clear Cough DM drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Clear Cough DM Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.

Clear Cough DM special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this tablet. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Clear Cough DM dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take this if it is near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Clear Cough DM Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
