Supprelin Usage: it medication is a hormone used to treat early onset of puberty.
How to use Supprelin: this drug is given as an injection one time day. it is important to have the injection at the same time each day. don't skip doses or take this more often than 1 time day. Rotate the injection site each day to prevent irritation. Use upper arms, thighs & abdomen as directed. it comes as kit with injections for 7 day period. Read & follow patient instructions carefully. some your physician will demonstrate how to administer the injections at home. Be sure to ask if you have any questions.
Supprelin side effects: this med can cause headache, stomach upset, gas, diarrhea, breast tenderness, vaginal dryness, vaginal bleeding, muscle aches, mood changes, sweating or changes in vision. These effects should disappear as your body adjusts to medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify you're doctor immediately if you experience any of the following while taking this tablet: skin rash, itching, flushing, swelling of hands/feet/face, rapid heartbeat, difficulty swallowing, trouble breathing. You may experience redness, irritation or swelling at injection site. If this continues or becomes severe, contact you're doctor. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Supprelin Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: any pre-existing illnesses, any allergies. this medication shouldnot be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your physician immediately. Its not known if histrelin is excreted into breast milk. manufacturer about histrelin says histrelin should not be given to nursing mothers. Consult your doctor.
Supprelin drug interactions: Tell you're pharmacist of all over-the-counter & prescription meds you may use. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or doctor approval.
Supprelin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
Supprelin special notes: Laboratory tests will be done periodically while taking it medication to check effectiveness.
If you missed Supprelin dose: it is important to take it medication once day at same time. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Supprelin Storage: Store this med in refrigerator. do not store this in the freezer. Remove one vial at a time from the package and let it sit to reach room temperature before using it. Use each vial only once & discard about this properly.
