Decongestant/antihistamine/anticholinergic - oral

Duradryl Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat and itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & another respiratory illnesses.

How to use Duradryl: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more much times than directed. this medication is best taken with full glass of water after meal or snack. Long-acting pills and capsules should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or the long action may be destroyed & chance about side effects increased.

Duradryl side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose & eyes may occur first some days as youre body adjusts to the drug. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify you're physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

Duradryl Precautions: Tell your pharmacist if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. money it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this drug are found in breast milk, consult some your pharmacist before breast-feeding.

Duradryl drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: medication for blood pressure, medication for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell your physician if you take pills that cause drowsiness such as: medicine since sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety pills (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure tablets (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit youre intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this medication. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.

Duradryl Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, quick breathing, fever, hot dry and flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

Duradryl special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.

If you missed Duradryl dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take it if It's near time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Duradryl Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
