Urso Usage: Ursodiol is used to prevent & treat formation of certain types of gallstones or for liver disease (biliary cirrhosis).
How to use Urso: Take this drug exactly as directed. this is important to take each dose and not to skip doses. do not increase dose or take it more many times than prescribed as side effects can result. don't stop using it medicine without consulting your doctor.
Urso side effects: Notify some your doctor if you experience any of the next effects: diarrhea, severe stomach pains (especially in the upper right side), nausea, vomiting. other side effects include stomach upset, loss about appetite, gas, headache, tiredness, trouble sleeping, dry or itchy skin, sweating, thinning of the hair, cough, runny nose, metal taste in the mouth, muscle pain, nervousness or depression. These effects may disappear as your body adjusts to med. If they continue or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or physician.
Urso Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist your medical history, especially: liver disease, any allergies. Before using this pill, notify your physician if you pregnant. Its unknown if ursodiol is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Urso drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take especially: estrogen, birth control pills, med to reduce cholesterol levels (such as cholestyramine, clofibrate, or colestipol), aluminum antacids, sucralfate. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Urso Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include severe diarrhea.
Urso special notes: special diet may be prescribed to help reduce formation of new gallstones. Follow diet closely. Laboratory tests may be performed to monitor therapy. do not share this drug with others.
If you missed Urso dose: Take any missed dose as soon as possible or double next dose and resume your regular schedule.
Urso Storage: Store at room temperature and keep away from moisture & sunlight. do not store at bathroom.
