Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (nsaid) - oral
Mobic Usage: it tablet is used to treat pain & reduce inflammation. it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. some NSAIDs also used to reduce fever.
How to use Mobic: Take this medication by mouth with a full glass (8oz or 240ml) of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. the dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. If stomach upset occurs while taking this drug, take this with food, milk, or an antacid. do not lie down since at least 30 minutes after taking this drug. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to 2 weeks, taken regularly, before full benefit of it drug takes effect. If you use this for migraine headache, and the pain isnt relieved or it worsens after 1'st dose, seek immediate healthcare professional attention.
Mobic side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & unusual fatigue may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of feet or ankles, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, joint pain, muscle pain or weakness, easy bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat & fever. Tell your physician immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: changes in amount or color of urine, yellowing about eyes or skin. If you notice any about following unlikely but serious side effects, stop taking it med & consult some your doctor or pharmacist immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/ abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. An allergic reaction to it drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Mobic Precautions: Tell you're pharmacist your medical history, especially of: kidney problems, liver problems, stomach problems (e.g., ulcers), heart disease (e.g., arrhythmias, heart failure), high blood pressure (hypertension), diabetes, blood problems (e.g., anemia, bleeding disorders, porphyria), asthma, nasal polyps, eye problems, severe or long-lasting headaches, any allergies - especially aspirin/NSAID allergy (e.g., ibuprofen, celecoxib). this med may make you dizzy or drowsy. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it drug may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, use sunscreen, & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol and this medicine may increase youre risk for stomach bleeding. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the drug. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your pharmacist. Using this medication during the last 6 months of pregnancy is not recommended. it med may pass into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Mobic drug interactions: Tell youre doctor about all prescription & nonprescription drug you may use, especially: 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), other drugs for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'water pills' (diuretics), lithium, anti- ulcer drug (e.g., cimetidine), high blood pressure med such as ACE inhibitors (e.g., captopril, lisinopril), & beta-blockers (e.g., metoprolol, propranolol), probenecid, phenytoin, cyclosporine, sulfa drugs, medicine for diabetes (e.g., glipizide, glyburide), alendronate. cash labels on every you're medicines because they can contain aspirin or another aspirin-like NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen). Ask your pharmacist about the safe use about those products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or healthcare professional approval.
Mobic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, dark stool, ringing in the ears, change in amount of urine, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, muscle weakness, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, severe headache or loss of consciousness.
Mobic special notes: don't share this medication with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed to monitor youre progress.
If you missed Mobic dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If Its near the clock of the next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Mobic Storage: Store at room temperature between 36 & 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
