Acetaminophen/isometheptene/dichloralphenazone - oral

Duradrin Usage: it medication is used to relieve migraine & tension headaches.
How to use Duradrin: Take this tablet exactly as prescribed. do not increase youre dose or take it more often than directed. for migraine headaches, take two capsules at 1-st sign of an attack. then take one capsule all hour as needed until the headache is relieved. don't take more than three capsules in a 12 hour period. in tension headaches, usually no more than 8 capsules day are recommended. do not exceed the maximum dose prescribed. it medication contains acetaminophen. don't take more acetaminophen than recommended (see Side Effects section).
Duradrin side effects: Dizziness may occur as your body adjusts to the pill. If it effect continues or becomes bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. If you don't have liver problems, adult maximum dose of acetaminophen is 4 grams daily (4000 milligrams). If you take more than maximum daily amount, it can cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Tell your physician immediately if you have any of the next symptoms of liver damage: severe nausea, yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, extreme fatigue. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Duradrin Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: heart disease, glaucoma, kidney disease, liver disease, hypertension, allergies (especially pill allergies). this product contains acetaminophen. Acetaminophen can cause liver damage. daily use of alcohol, especially when combined with acetaminophen, may increase your risk since liver damage. money with your doctor or pharmacist for more info. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of it tablet are found in breast milk, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Duradrin drug interactions: Tell youre pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take or have recently taken, including: antidepressants, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). Acetaminophen is an ingredient at many nonprescription products and in several combination prescription medications. Read the labels carefully before taking other pain relievers, fever reducers, or cold products to see if they also contain acetaminophen. Consult your pharmacist if you are uncertain if you're other prescription or nonprescription goods contain acetaminophen. (Also see maximum per day dose information in Side Effects section). do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Duradrin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea, vomiting, yellowing eyes or skin, stomach pain, dark urine, extreme fatigue, headache, agitation, low body temperature, rapid & shallow breathing, unusually rapid or slow heartbeat, and unresponsiveness.
Duradrin special notes: Use caution while driving or doing tasks requiring alertness as this med can cause drowsiness or dizziness. Notify some your physician if it medication fails to relieve your headaches.
If you missed Duradrin dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Duradrin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in the bathroom.
