Coldec D Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Coldec D: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your physician instructs you otherwise. If symptoms don't improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify your doctor. don't increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Coldec D side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as some your body adjusts to the drug. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify you're physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing at the ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or physician.
Coldec D Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, HBP, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, medication allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your doctor promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. don't drink alcoholic beverages. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding. do not give it pill to child younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by a physician.
Coldec D medication interactions: Tell your doctor what meds you take, especially about: HBP medications, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain tablet, other cold or allergy med. do not take this medication if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Coldec D Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change at amount about urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Coldec D special notes: do not share this product with others.
If you missed Coldec D dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Coldec D Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
