Thor Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. it combination pill is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis & other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Thor: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with full glass of water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & the chance of side effects will be increased. liquid suspension form of this drug must be shaken well before using.
Thor side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform some your doctor. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop any about following effects while using this drug: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, HBP, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. Thor drug interactions: Tell youre doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: blood pressure medication, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping tablets, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), narcotic pain meds (e.g., codeine). Limit your intake about alcoholic beverages while taking this med. do not start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Thor Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, loss of coordination, slow or shallow breathing, sweating, dizziness, headache, hyperactivity, bizarre behavior, seizures, slow or quick heartbeat, or unconsciousness.
Thor special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. this will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Thor dose: If you miss a dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Thor Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store at bathroom.
