Heparin Lock Flush Usage: it pill is an anticoagulant which prevents the blood from clotting. It's used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism & other conditions of blood clotting.
How to use Heparin Lock Flush: it tablet is administered by health care professional either as an injection or infused slowly into vein over period time. Blood tests will be done routinely to determine appropriate dose.
Heparin Lock Flush side effects: it medication may cause irritation, pain, redness or swelling at injection site. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify youre doctor if you develop signs of possibly allergy: chills, fever, itchy skin, rash. Bleeding must be monitored since it may indicate dose is too high. Heparin Lock Flush Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: blood disorders, bleeding episodes, heart disease, ulcers, liver disease, kidney disease, any allergies. a preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in this product or in the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during 1st months of life (neonatal period). risk is greater with lower birth weight infants and is greater with increased amounts about benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, LBP, or very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to healthcare professional immediately should they occur. If possible, preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to effects of this medication. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're pharmacist. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
Heparin Lock Flush drug interactions: Tell youre physician about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you take, especially of: blood thinners, aspirin, nitroglycerin, injectable antibiotics. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Heparin Lock Flush Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unexplained bleeding & bruising, stomach pain or swelling, back pain, blood in urine, vomiting blood, dizziness, & headache.
