Leucovorin Calcium Usage: Leucovorin is a faster acting & more potent form about folic acid. it is used as 'rescue' after high dose methotrexate therapy to lessen & counteract effects of methotrexate toxicity and other folic acid antagonists.

How to use Leucovorin Calcium: Take it tablet as directed. To be most effective, it is important to follow dosing schedule closely. don't skip any doses or take this more often then directed.

Leucovorin Calcium side effects: this medication is generally well tolerated. If you experience itching, skin rash or have difficulty breathing while taking it medication, notify your pharmacist. it may indicate an allergy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.

Leucovorin Calcium Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: anemia, blood disorders, allergies. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with you're healthcare professional. Consult some your healthcare professional before using any drug while breast-feeding.

If you missed Leucovorin Calcium dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Leucovorin Calcium Storage: Store this medication at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
