Medi Milk about Magnesia Usage: this medication is used to treat occasional episodes of constipation. it acts to produce a bowel movement within 6 hours of taking a dose. this pill is also used for upset stomach caused by heartburn, acid indigestion or sour stomach; since peptic ulcer, hiatal hernia or other conditions caused by excess stomach acid; and to prevent ulcers or bleeding from ulcers.

How to use Medi Milk of Magnesia: Take this drug as prescribed. Use only temporarily to relieve constipation. When regularity returns, stop using med. Prolonged or continued use may result in laxative dependence. To be effective, chewable meds must be chewed thoroughly before swallowing followed by full glass of water. Shake liquid forms well before pouring each dose. don't take any other medication within 1 to 2 hours about taking this drug. since magnesium hydroxide coats the stomach, it can prevent other drugs from being absorbed properly if taken at the same clock.

Medi Milk of Magnesia side effects: this medication can cause diarrhea. If diarrhea persists or worsens, inform you're doctor. Notify some your pharmacist if next effects occur: black/tarry stools or rectal bleeding. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or physician.

Medi Milk of Magnesia Precautions: don't take magnesium hydroxide before consulting your doctor if you have following conditions: kidney disease, stomach/abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting. do not give this pill to kid under 6 years of age without 1st consulting a doctor. Tell you're physician if you pregnant before using this medication. this is not known if magnesium hydroxide is excreted into breast milk. Though theyre have been no reports (to date) of harm to nursing infants, consult you're pharmacist before using this medicine.

Medi Milk of Magnesia drug interactions: Tell you're doctor of every prescription & nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: antibiotics, quinidine, sodium polystyrene sulfonate. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Medi Milk of Magnesia Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

Medi Milk of Magnesia special notes: Refrigerating liquid may improve taste. (Do not freeze). liquid form works faster & is more effective than the other forms. However, chewable tablets may be more convenient.

If you missed Medi Milk of Magnesia dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Medi Milk of Magnesia Storage: Store capsule and med forms at room temperature away from moisture and sunlight. don't store in bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this medication.
