Hydrocortisone PLUS Usage: this med is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Hydrocortisone PLUS: Clean and dry affected area before applying the pill. To apply, gently massage small amount of drug in to affected area & surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover area treated unless you are instructed to do so by you're doctor. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this drug in the diaper area. Avoid using it drug around eyes unless directed to do so by your doctor.
Hydrocortisone PLUS side effects: this drug may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when first applied to skin. this should disappear in several days as your body adjusts to medication. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this tablet. Notify your pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly next side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact youre physician or pharmacist.
Hydrocortisone PLUS Precautions: do not use it medication near the eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate and augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if they're is an infection or sores present on region to be treated. Though very unlikely, It's possible this drug will be absorbed in to you're bloodstream. it may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for children & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use about this drug. Consult your doctor or healthcare professional for more details. this tablet should be used cautiously during pregnancy and only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits & risks with your pharmacist. Small amounts of this drug may appear in breast milk. Consult with some your physician before breast-feeding.
Hydrocortisone PLUS drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist about every drugs you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. don't start or stop any medicine without physician or healthcare professional approval.
Hydrocortisone PLUS Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Hydrocortisone PLUS special notes: Inform all your doctors you use (or have used) this drug. do not share this med with others.
If you missed Hydrocortisone PLUS dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; don't use if it is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Hydrocortisone PLUS Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
