Suphedrine Cold & Allergy Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.
How to use Suphedrine Cold & Allergy: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. It's recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this drug, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by a high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase dose or take this more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.
Suphedrine Cold & Allergy side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects must subside as you're body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform youre pharmacist. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
Suphedrine Cold & Allergy Precautions: Tell your pharmacist youre medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, medication allergies. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if this contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding. do not give this medication to a child younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by a healthcare professional.
Suphedrine Cold & Allergy pill interactions: Tell youre doctor what tablets you take, especially of: high blood pressure drugs, anti-seizure meds, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy medication. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Suphedrine Cold & Allergy Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose at children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Suphedrine Cold & Allergy dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
