    Antihistamines with decongestants - oral

    Suphedrine Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms about allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes and sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining and improve breathing.

    How to use Suphedrine: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. Its recommended to drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication, unless your pharmacist instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or accompanied by a high fever, notify you're pharmacist. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.

    Suphedrine side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as your body adjusts to the drug. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. can cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Suphedrine Precautions: Tell your doctor you're medical history, especially about: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, tablet allergies. dollars it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. it med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding. do not give it medication to child younger than 6 years about age unless directed to do so by pharmacist.

    Suphedrine drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure meds, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy med. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

    Suphedrine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

    Suphedrine special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Suphedrine dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Suphedrine Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture.
