Scalp Cort Usage: this med is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Scalp Cort: Clean & dry affected region before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage a small amount of the medication into the affected area and surrounding skin. do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you instructed to do so by youre physician. do not use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on children being treated with this medication in diaper region. Avoid using this medication around the eyes unless directed to do so by youre physician.
Scalp Cort side effects: it drug may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to the skin. it should disappear in few days as your body adjusts to med. this drug may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your pharmacist. Skin infections can become worse when using this medication. Notify youre pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Scalp Cort Precautions: do not use it medication near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isn't recommended. do not use if theyre is an infection or sores present on the area to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible it pill will be absorbed in to your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. this is especially true for child & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult youre doctor or pharmacist for more details. this medication should be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits and risks with your pharmacist. Small amounts of this medication may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Scalp Cort med interactions: Tell your physician of all drugs you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially about: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Scalp Cort Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Scalp Cort special notes: Inform every your doctors you use (or have used) this medication. do not share this medication with others.
If you missed Scalp Cort dose: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Scalp Cort Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
