Heparin Flush Usage: this drug is an anticoagulant which prevents the blood from clotting. It's used to prevent and treat venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism & other conditions of blood clotting.
How to use Heparin Flush: this med is administered by health care professional either as an injection or infused slowly into a vein over a period time. Blood tests will be done routinely to determine appropriate dose.
Heparin Flush side effects: it medication may cause irritation, pain, redness or swelling at injection site. If these symptoms continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop signs of a possibly allergy: chills, fever, itchy skin, rash. Bleeding must be monitored for it may indicate the dose is too high. Notify your doctor if you experience any about the next while using this pill: simple bruising, nose bleed, dark and tarry stools, blood in urine, a bleeding episode. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Heparin Flush Precautions: Tell your physician if you have: blood disorders, bleeding episodes, heart disease, ulcers, liver disease, kidney disease, any allergies. preservative (benzyl alcohol) which may be found in it product or in the liquid used to mix this product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious problems (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during first months about life (neonatal period). the risk is greater with lower birth weight infants & is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms include sudden gasping, hypotension, or a very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to doctor immediately should they occur. If possible, preservative-free product should be used when treating neonates. Elderly persons may be more sensitive to effects of it tablet. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Its not known if this pill appears in breast milk. Consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Heparin Flush pill interactions: Tell youre doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you take, especially of: blood thinners, aspirin, nitroglycerin, injectable antibiotics. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Heparin Flush Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unexplained bleeding & bruising, stomach pain or swelling, back pain, blood in urine, vomiting blood, dizziness, and headache.
Heparin Flush special notes: this medication is usually administered initially in the hospital where you're condition can be monitored closely. Laboratory tests will be done periodically to be sure drug is working properly & to monitor for possible side effects.
If you missed Heparin Flush dose: Its important to use each dose at scheduled time. If you miss dose, contact youre pharmacist who will help establish new dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Heparin Flush Storage: Store it pill as directed. Properly discard of any unused medication after the expiration date.
