Corticosteroids - topical

Scalp Usage: this medication is used to treat swelling, inflammation, or itching of skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, rashes, insect bites, poison ivy, allergies & other irritations.
How to use Scalp: Clean and dry affected area before applying the medication. To apply, gently massage a very small amount of the tablet in to affected region and surrounding skin. don't bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by you're doctor. don't use plastic pants or tight fitting diapers on kid being treated with this drug in diaper region. Avoid using this med around eyes unless directed to do so by youre pharmacist.
Scalp side effects: this medication may cause burning, stinging, itching, or redness when 1st applied to the skin. this should disappear in few days as some your body adjusts to the drug. this medication may also cause skin thinning & discoloration. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Skin infections can become worse when using this med. Notify your pharmacist if redness, swelling or irritation does not improve. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.
Scalp Precautions: do not use this tablet near eyes if you have glaucoma. Treatment with clobetasol, halobetasol propionate & augmented betamethasone dipropionate beyond two weeks consecutively isnt recommended. do not use if their is an infection or sores present on the region to be treated. Though very unlikely, it is possible this drug will be absorbed in to your bloodstream. this may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. it is especially true for kid & for those who have used this for an extended period if they also have serious medical problems such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. this precaution applies for up to one year after stopping use of this med. Consult your physician or physician for more details. it medication must be used cautiously during pregnancy & only if clearly needed. Discuss the benefits and risks with some your healthcare professional. Small amounts of it drug may appear in breast milk. Consult with your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Scalp med interactions: Tell your doctor about every medications you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: prednisone (or similar drugs), other skin medicines. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.
Scalp Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Scalp special notes: Inform all your pharmacists you use (or have used) it medication. do not share it drug with others.
If you missed Scalp dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Scalp Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
Medical alert: your condition can cause complications in medical emergency.
