Allergy Usage: Antihistamines are used to treat rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching, & sneezing due to allergies or common cold. They may also be used to treat motion sickness, anxiety, or as sleep aid (for insomnia).
How to use Allergy: May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Sustained-release or long acting tablets & capsules should be swallowed whole. Chewing or crushing them will destroy long action & may increase side effects. for chewable tablets, chew thoroughly and swallow. Shake suspensions well before taking.
Allergy side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, stomach upset, vision changes, irritability, dry mouth & nose. These effects should subside as you're body adjusts to the med. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify your physician if you develop: breathing difficulties, pounding or irregular heartbeat, ringing in the ears, difficulty urinating. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Allergy Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: glaucoma (narrow angle), stomach ulcers, difficulty urinating (e.g., enlarged prostate), heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, lung problems, overactive thyroid. Change from seated or lying position slowly to avoid dizziness. Use caution in performing activities requiring alertness. Limit alcohol intake to avoid excessive drowsiness. Caution is advised when using this drug in elderly because they may be more sensitive to effects of the med. do not give long-acting antihistamines to children younger than 12 years of age nor other dose forms of antihistamines to a children younger then 6 years about age without doctor approval. this med should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your healthcare professional. it medication may be excreted into breast milk. Consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Allergy drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all drugs you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially about: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, seizure drugs, narcotic pain relievers, other meds for colds/hay fever/allergies. Because this tablet may affect allergy testing, you may have to stop using it medication for several days before tests performed. Consult your doctor of this. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or pharmacist approval.
Allergy Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include drowsiness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.
Allergy special notes: do not share it product with others.
If you missed Allergy dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume some your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Allergy Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in the bathroom. do not freeze liquid forms of this drug.
Medical alert: you're condition can cause complications in a medical emergency.
