    Decongestant/antihistamine/anticholinergic - oral

    Coldamine Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. Antihistamines relieve runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose & throat & itchy, watery eyes. Anticholinergics have drying effect on mucous secretions. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Coldamine: Take this drug as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. this tablet is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack. Long-acting tablets & capsules must be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them or long action may be destroyed and chance of side effects increased.

    Coldamine side effects: Dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, blurred vision, constipation or dry mouth, nose & eyes may occur 1st several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your physician. Notify youre healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit your intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're physician or pharmacist.

    Coldamine Precautions: Tell some your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, any allergies. dollars it product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain it product has PPA. this tablet should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this medication are found in breast milk, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.

    Coldamine drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: drug for blood pressure, medication for depression such as MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline). Tell your doctor if you take tablets that cause drowsiness such as: medicine for sleep, sedatives, tranquilizers, anti-anxiety drugs (e.g., diazepam), narcotic pain relievers (e.g., codeine), psychiatric medicines (e.g., phenothiazines or tricyclics), anti- seizure meds (e.g., carbamazepine), muscle relaxants. Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking this pill. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Coldamine Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea/vomiting, headache, weakness, disorientation, hyperactivity, restlessness, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, quick breathing, fever, hot dry & flushed skin, seizures, or coma.

    Coldamine special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this med. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

    If you missed Coldamine dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if Its near clock for the following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Coldamine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
