Suphedrin PLUS Usage: Antihistamines provide relief about symptoms of allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes & sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.

How to use Suphedrin PLUS: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. this is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking it pill, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or are accompanied by high fever, notify you're healthcare professional. do not increase dose or take it more frequently than recommended. the suspension dosage form must be shaken well before each use.

Suphedrin PLUS side effects: can cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability and dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as some your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform you're healthcare professional. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing at ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from a seated or lying position. Change positions slowly and be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.

Suphedrin PLUS Precautions: Tell your physician your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding. do not give this pill to child younger then 6 years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor.

Suphedrin PLUS drug interactions: Tell your physician what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure medications, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping tablets, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain drug, other cold or allergy medication. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or healthcare professional approval.

Suphedrin PLUS Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms of overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

If you missed Suphedrin PLUS dose: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for following dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
