Gilphex Tr Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gilphex Tr: Take this medication by mouth. meds should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew them. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take it medication as directed. do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescribed. Its recommended to drink plenty about fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.
Gilphex Tr side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur the 1st few days as you're body adjusts to drug. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify some your physician if you develop: chest pain, a rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficult or painful urination, difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or healthcare professional.
Gilphex Tr Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. it drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risk and benefits with your healthcare professional. it isn't known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult you're doctor before breast-feeding.
Gilphex Tr drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for hypertension. Tell you're physician if you have, in last two weeks, taken any MAO inhibitors: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or doctor approval.
Gilphex Tr Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusually quick or slow heartbeat, numbness of fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

If you missed Gilphex Tr dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost clock for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gilphex Tr Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. don't store at bathroom.
