Eryped 200 Usage: Erythromycin is an antibiotic used to treat wide variety about bacterial infections.
How to use Eryped 200: this medication may be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Shake liquid well before using. Antibiotics work best when amount of medicine in your body is kept in constant level. Do this by taking the pill at evenly spaced intervals throughout the day & night. Continue to take this drug until the full prescribed amount is finished even if symptoms disappear after a few days. Stopping the medication too early may allow bacteria to continue to grow resulting in a relapse about infection.
Eryped 200 side effects: may cause stomach upset, diarrhea, loss about appetite, nausea, vomiting, or stomach cramps the first some days as you're body adjusts to medication. If these symptoms persist or become severe, inform youre doctor. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop symptoms of jaundice as such: dark urine, clay-colored stools, yellowing of eyes or skin. at unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this medication, seek healthcare professional attention immediately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. Eryped 200 Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially: liver disease/jaundice, any allergies. Caution is advised when this med is used in infants. Though very unlikely to happen, stomach problem called IHPS (infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis) has been noted. Contact your child's doctor immediately if child has persistent vomiting or increased irritability. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Small amounts of drug do appear in breast milk, so consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Eryped 200 drug interactions: Tell you're healthcare professional of every the drugs you may use, (prescription and nonprescription) especially of the following: carbamazepine, cyclosporine, theophylline, certain benzodiazepines (e.g., midazolam, triazolam), warfarin, felodipine (a calcium channel blocker), cisapride, birth control tablets, corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), digoxin, ergotamine-containing meds, sildenafil, certain live vaccines, disopyramide, phenytoin, other antibiotics, certain drugs used to treat high cholesterol (e.g., lovastatin). other drugs besides erythromycin which may affect heart rhythm (QTc prolongation at the EKG) include dofetilide, pimozide, quinidine, sotalol, procainamide, & sparfloxacin among others. QTc prolongation can infrequently result in serious, sometimes fatal, irregular heartbeats. Consult some your doctor or pharmacist for details. Ask for instructions about whether you need to stop any other QTc-prolonging drugs you may be using in order to minimize the risk of this effect. this pill may interfere with effectiveness of birth control pills. Discuss using other methods about birth control with your physician. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.
Eryped 200 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Eryped 200 special notes: this medication has been prescribed for your current condition only. do not use it later for other infection or give it to someone else. a different medication may be necessary.
If you missed Eryped 200 dose: If you should miss dose, take it as soon as remembered unless this is almost time for the next dose. If this is nearly time for next dose, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose.
Eryped 200 Storage: Refrigerate. do not freeze. check expiration date of your prescription & discard any unused portion after that date or after your physician tells you to stop taking this.
