    Antipyrine with benzocaine - otic

    (an-tee-pie-reen with ben-zoh-cane)

    common brand names: Auralgan, Aurodex, Auroto

    Pro Otic Usage: this med contains benzocaine, topical anesthetic which numbs skin, & antipyrine, pain reliever. it is used to relieve pain and discomfort of certain ear problems.

    How to use Pro Otic: this medication is used at ears as directed. To administer properly, lie on you're side or tilt head so the ear faces up. Put prescribed number of drops into ear using dropper provided. do not insert dropper into the ear and avoid touching dropper to the ear or any other surface. To allow drops to run into the ear canal, hold the earlobe up and back in adults & down & back in children. Keep the ear tilted for 1 to 2 minutes. soft cotton plug may be gently inserted into the ear to keep ear drops at place. Use a plug only if directed to do so.

    Pro Otic side effects: Minor stinging, burning or tenderness of ear may occur when this is first used. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, or if your symptoms do not improve within few days, inform your pharmacist. Notify your pharmacist if any of the next effects occur: irritation, rash, itching. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.

    Pro Otic Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have any of the following conditions: infection, any allergies. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss risks and benefits with youre pharmacist.

    Pro Otic drug interactions: Tell some your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Pro Otic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. it medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken this medicine by mouth, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Pro Otic special notes: for comfort, drops may be warmed to body temperature by rolling the bottle in you're hands for a few minutes before using them. do not heat at microwave or place at hot water.

    If you missed Pro Otic dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Pro Otic Storage: Store at room temperature away from sunlight & moisture. Avoid freezing.
