Polytar Usage: Coal tar shampoo is used to treat itching and skin flaking/irritation caused by certain skin conditions of the head & scalp (e.g., dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis).

How to use Polytar: Apply this med onto the hair and scalp usually two times weekly; or as directed by your doctor. Shake the bottle well before each application/shampoo. Wet your hair thoroughly with water and rub shampoo into lather on some your hair & scalp. Rinse you're hair well with water and repeat. this medicated shampoo is for use on the scalp & hair only. do not use if you have open skin (e.g., sores/wounds) on you're scalp. Avoid getting any of this shampoo in your eyes. If eye contact occurs, rinse your eyes thoroughly with water. If eye irritation persists or worsens, contact your doctor promptly. Avoid getting any of it shampoo on your clothes. it product may stain your clothing.

Polytar side effects: Minor skin/scalp irritation or darkened/stained skin may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your healthcare professional promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: big and/or painful skin sores/pimples on scalp. An allergic reaction to this product is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or healthcare professional.

Polytar Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist you're medical history, especially of: other skin conditions, any allergies. it medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure or wear protective clothing or a hat when outdoors. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using this medicated shampoo. this is unknown if this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Polytar drug interactions: Tell some your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription medication you may use, especially: other medicated shampoos or topical products. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Polytar Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this product may be harmful if swallowed.

Polytar special notes: do not share this product with others.

If you missed Polytar dose: If you miss dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near time of next dose, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not double dose to catch up.

Polytar Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 & 30 degrees C) away from light & moisture.
