Polysporin Usage: this medication is a combination antibiotic used on skin to treat an infection.
How to use Polysporin: it medication is for topical use only. Clean & dry affected region as directed. then apply a small amount about drug on the skin. a thin layer is every that is needed. Cover with bandage if directed to do so. don't use big amounts, apply this more often or use it for longer period than directed. your condition will not clear faster, but chance for side effects may be increased. Use carefully if applying to face. Avoid contact with eyes, nose & mouth.
Polysporin side effects: it medication may cause burning, redness, or rash. Notify some your pharmacist if you develop any about these symptoms. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or pharmacist.
Polysporin Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: other illnesses, an infection, allergies (especially to antibiotics). it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks and benefits with your doctor. Its not known if this tablet is found in breast milk. Consult youre pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Polysporin pill interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: another skin products. do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
Polysporin Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
Polysporin special notes: If condition for which it was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after few days, notify some your pharmacist.
If you missed Polysporin dose: If you miss dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Polysporin Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat. check the expiration date on tube & discard any expired drug.
