    Antihistamines with decongestants - oral

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy Usage: Antihistamines provide relief of symptoms about allergies such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes and sneezing. Decongestants relieve congestion, promote sinus draining & improve breathing.

    How to use Suphedrin Cold & Allergy: May be taken with food or milk to prevent stomach upset. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days or accompanied by high fever, notify your doctor. do not increase the dose or take this more frequently than recommended. suspension dosage form should be shaken well before each use.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy side effects: may cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss about appetite, stomach upset, blurred vision, restlessness, irritability & dry mouth & nose. These effects must subside as some your body adjusts to medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify you're pharmacist if you develop: breathing difficulties, heart pounding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, ringing in ears, difficulty urinating. may cause dizziness especially when rising quickly from seated or lying position. Change positions slowly & be careful on stairs. Use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or pharmacist.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy Precautions: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland, heart disease, hypertension, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland, drug allergies. check this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). the FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your physician promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain this product has PPA. do not drink alcoholic beverages. this med should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding. don't give it drug to a kid younger than 6 years of age unless directed to do so by physician.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy med interactions: Tell your pharmacist what medications you take, especially of: high blood pressure drugs, anti-seizure drugs, antidepressants, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, narcotic pain medication, other cold or allergy medication. do not take this drug if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within last two weeks. do not start or stop any medicine with-out physician or physician approval.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose in children may include dizziness, nausea/vomiting, abnormal eye movements, flushed face, dry mouth, change in amount of urine, fever, excitation, agitation, unconsciousness, bizarre behavior, confusion, restlessness, irritability, delirium, twitching, tiredness, abnormal tongue movement, trembling extremities, slurred speech, or seizures. Symptoms about overdose in adults may include nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, or unconsciousness, which may be followed by excitement or seizures.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy special notes: do not share this product with others.

    If you missed Suphedrin Cold & Allergy dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if this is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Suphedrin Cold & Allergy Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight & moisture.
