Isopto Homatropine Usage: this medication relaxes muscles in eye causing the pupil to dilate (widen). this is used in conditions where the eye is inflamed. this is also used during eye examinations.
How to use Isopto Homatropine: To apply eye drops, 1st wash your hands. Be careful not to touch dropper or let it touch your eye to avoid contamination. Tilt your head back, gaze upward & pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number of drops. see downward and gently close your eye for 1 or two minutes. Try not to blink & don't rub eye. do not rinse the dropper. If more than one type about eye drop is to be used, wait in least three minutes before using any another eye med. do not use eye drops that have changed color.
Isopto Homatropine side effects: this tablet can cause temporary drowsiness or blurred vision. Use caution if driving or engaging at activities requiring alertness. Headache, brow ache, temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects must disappear as you're body adjusts to the pill. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your healthcare professional. it medication may cause some your eyes to be sensitive to bright light. Wear sunglasses for protection. Inform your physician if you develop: changes in vision, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Isopto Homatropine Precautions: do not use this medication while wearing soft contact lenses. the lenses may be discolored. this med should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. It's not known if this drug appears in breast milk. Consult with some your physician before breast-feeding. Tell youre physician if you have: glaucoma.
Isopto Homatropine drug interactions: this medication can affect way your body responds to other medications. Before you use it, tell your physician what prescription & nonprescription drugs you are taking. do not start or stop any medicine with-out pharmacist or doctor approval.

Isopto Homatropine special notes: When your healthcare professional tells you to stop using this medication, throw away any unused portion. do not allow anyone else to use it med.
If you missed Isopto Homatropine dose: If you miss a dose, apply as soon as remembered; don't use if this is almost time since the following dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Isopto Homatropine Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. don't store in bathroom. do not freeze this med. Store solution in cool, dark place. Discard the solution if this turns brown, cloudy or contains particles.
