Guaifenex LA Usage: this medication is used to relieve dry cough & helps to loosen phlegm & mucous in lungs so you can 'cough-up' (expectorate) mucous.
How to use Guaifenex LA: Take each dose of this med with a full glass of water. Water will also help break-up the mucous & clear congestion. Drink plenty about fluids while taking this medication, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. don't take this medication since chronic, persistent cough such as occurs with smoking or asthma unless directed by your physician. If cough lasts for more than one week, tends to recur, or is accompanied by a fever, headache or rash, consult your pharmacist.
Guaifenex LA side effects: this pill can cause stomach upset or rash. If these effects persist or worsen, inform youre pharmacist. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Guaifenex LA Precautions: If you have any about the following health problems, consult some your doctor before using this drug: breathing problems such as emphysema/chronic bronchitis/asthma, smoking, any allergies. this drug should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. It's not known if it drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Guaifenex LA drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist of all medicines you may use, (both prescription & nonprescription), especially: other cough-and-cold medicines. Guaifenesin may affect results of certain lab tests. Be sure some your caregivers are aware you use this medicine before lab tests are performed. do not start or stop any medicine with out pharmacist or doctor approval.
Guaifenex LA Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, & unusually slow heartbeat.
Guaifenex LA special notes: it drug comes in a variety of dose forms such as tablets, capsules, long acting pills or capsules and syrup. Ask your healthcare professional or pharmacist to recommend best product for you.
If you missed Guaifenex LA dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. don't double dose to catch up.
Guaifenex LA Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom. don't freeze liquid forms of this drug. do not store syrup in the refrigerator.
