Pediacof Usage: it combination product contains decongestant, low-dose narcotic, antihistamine & an ingredient that may help loosen mucous. Its used to treat cough and relieve symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Pediacof: this med is best taken with full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water after meal or snack. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more much of times than directed.
Pediacof side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, dry mouth or anxiety may occur 1st few days as youre body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of following effects while taking this drug: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, high blood pressure, painful or difficult urination, tremors, nervousness, trouble sleeping, mental confusion. To avoid dizziness & lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake about alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if it medication causes you to feel drowsy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your healthcare professional or physician.
Pediacof Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), hypertension, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, history of drug dependency, any allergies. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. for small amounts about this medication are found in breast milk, consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Pediacof drug interactions: Tell your pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including any drug for: blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid disease, depression. Also, tell you're doctor if you take any of these drugs: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain medications (e.g., codeine). do not start or stop any medicine with-out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.
Pediacof Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact you're local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, irregular heartbeat, shaking, numbness or tingling at arms or legs, hot or cold skin, slowed breathing, large & unchanging pupils, and deep sleep or loss of consciousness.
Pediacof special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Pediacof dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Pediacof Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. do not store in the bathroom.
