Isopto Cetamide Usage: this drug is used to treat infections about eye (ophthalmic) or ear (otic).

How to use Isopto Cetamide: Use this as prescribed. Continue using it for full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too soon may result in reinfection. To apply eye or ear med, wash hands 1-st. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or tube or let it touch affected area. Shake drops well before using. Hold ointment tube in your hand for few minutes to make medication flow easier. EYE pill: Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. for drops, place dropper directly over eye & administer the prescribed number about drops. see downward & gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. With eye ointment, place drug inside lower lid using sweeping motion. Close eye and roll eyeball. Remove excess ointment with a tissue. Try not to blink & do not rub eye. If you using another kind about eye med, wait five to ten minutes before applying. EAR tablet: Lie on some your side or turn affected ear upward to make application easier. Place prescribed number about drops in the ear. Avoid touching the ear canal. Keep ear tilted for one to 2 minutes. a small piece about clean cotton may be placed in ear to prevent drops from escaping.

Isopto Cetamide side effects: this med may temporarily sting when first applied. If this effect persists or worsens, inform your doctor promptly. in unlikely part you have an allergic reaction to this med, seek immeditial medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, redness, swelling or discharge (including eye or ear area), trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your physician or pharmacist.

Isopto Cetamide Precautions: Tell your physician some your medical history, especially: every previous eye or ear problems, if you use contact lenses, any allergies. Vision may be temporarily blurred after applying eye medication. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vision. this & all medications should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. Consult with your pharmacist if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.

Isopto Cetamide drug interactions: Tell you're doctor about all medications you may use (both prescription & nonprescription), especially of: silver preparations, every another eye or ear antibiotic or corticosteroid (e.g., hydrocortisone) medications. do not start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or pharmacist approval.

Isopto Cetamide Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed.

Isopto Cetamide special notes: Throw away any unused part of your prescription. do not save it to use for another infection. do not allow anyone else to use it drug. the infection may spread to another poeple if you accidentally contaminate medication.

If you missed Isopto Cetamide dose: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use if It's almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

Isopto Cetamide Storage: Depending upon manufacturer, product may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Ask your physician. do not store in the bathroom. don't freeze.
