Gfn Pse Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous & congestion. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. this combination med is used to treat symptoms associated with cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.
How to use Gfn Pse: Take this pill by mouth. it should be swallowed whole. do not crush or chew med. If stomach upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. do not increase dose or take it more often or longer then prescribed. it is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses day) to help relieve congestion.
Gfn Pse side effects: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness, or headache may occur 1st few days as your body adjusts to tablet. If these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're doctor. Notify you're physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid heart rate, anxiety, fear, difficulty urinating (men only), difficulty sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness & avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or pharmacist.
Gfn Pse Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: pre-existing heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, HBP, overactive thyroid, diabetes mellitus, glaucoma, difficulty urinating, an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. this medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. It's not known if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your physician before breast-feeding.
Gfn Pse tablet interactions: Tell some your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, medication for high blood pressure. Tell youre pharmacist if you have taken any MAO inhibitors at the last two weeks: furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, linezolid. don't start or stop any medicine without pharmacist or healthcare professional approval.
Gfn Pse Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, quick or irregular heartbeat, & seizures.

If you missed Gfn Pse dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; don't take if It's almost time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. don't 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gfn Pse Storage: Store in room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (between 15 & 30 degrees C) away from moisture & sunlight. do not store in the bathroom.
