Children's Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). it medication is used in children to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain. it med works by blocking enzyme in you're body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever. do not give it medication to kid younger than six months of age unless directed to do so by healthcare professional.
How to use Children's Ibuprofen: Shake the bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully with dropper provided. Give it drug by mouth with food or immediately after meal as directed. Follow each dose with milk, juice, or formula. Keep the kid from lying down for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication. dosage is based on you're child's weight, medical condition, & response to therapy. Read product instructions to find appropriate dose for your child's weight, or consult healthcare professional or doctor if you have questions. If repeat doses are needed, they usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by physician. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before the full benefits of this medication take effect. If you are giving this drug to kid for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult physician immediately if symptoms don't improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.
Children's Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any about these effects persist or worsen, notify the pharmacist or pharmacist promptly. Tell physician immediately if any about these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in ears (tinnitus). Tell healthcare professional immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell the doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this drug may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop giving ibuprofen & consult doctor or physician immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. this drug may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any about next highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop giving ibuprofen & consult physician or pharmacist immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this tablet is unlikely, but seek immediate healthcare professional attention if this occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact pharmacist or pharmacist.
Children's Ibuprofen Precautions: this medication must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using it medicine, consult healthcare professional or pharmacist if your child has: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. this product can contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask physician or pharmacist about the safe use about it product. Caution is advised when using this pill in the elderly because they may be more sensitive to side effects of the drug, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this tablet should be used only when clearly needed during the 1'st 6 months of pregnancy. it is not recommended for use during the last 3 months of pregnancy due to potential for fetal harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks and benefits with youre pharmacist. it tablet passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult you're healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

Children's Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss about consciousness, or seizures.
Children's Ibuprofen special notes: do not share this tablet with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor you're child's progress or check for side effects. Consult the physician for more details.
If you missed Children's Ibuprofen dose: If you prescribed this drug on a regular schedule (not just 'as needed') and you miss dose, give it as soon as you remember. If this is near the time about next dose, skip missed dose & resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.
Children's Ibuprofen Storage: Store at room temperature according to product directions away from light & moisture. do not store at bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children & pets.
