Oracit Usage: this medication makes the urine less acidic. It's used in the treatment about certain kidney disorders & gout.
How to use Oracit: this drug must be diluted in water before drinking to prevent stomach upset. Take prescribed dose and dilute it in at least 1/2 glass of water. Stir to mix & drink, following with additional water. it is usually taken after meals and at bedtime or as directed by some your physician. Take this medication as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take this more often without your doctor's approval.
Oracit side effects: Notify your doctor if you develop: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, fluid retention (water gain), convulsions, unusual weakness, mental confusion, tingling or numbness of hands or feet. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your pharmacist or physician.
Oracit Precautions: Before using this medicine, tell your physician youre medical history, especially of: kidney or heart disease, liver disease, Addison's disease, high blood pressure, sodium- restricted diet, allergies (especially drug allergies). this medication should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with your healthcare professional. It's not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.
Oracit med interactions: Tell your doctor of every prescription & nonprescription med you may use including: lithium, aspirin and NSAID (e.g., ibuprofen, naproxen), heart medicines, methenamine, tetracyclines, chlorpropamide, ephedrine or pseudoephedrine (may be found at many cough-and-cold products), azole antibiotics (e.g., ketoconazole, itraconazole), every diet medicines. don't start or stop any medicine without healthcare professional or physician approval.
Oracit Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, & seizures.
Oracit special notes: While taking this med, it may be necessary for you to test pH (acidity) of your urine using special paper. pH will help determine the proper dose. don't share this medicine with others.
If you missed Oracit dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Oracit Storage: liquid may be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator, which will help improve the flavor.
