    Dextromethorphan w/decongestant - oral

    Cold Capsule Usage: Dextromethorphan is cough suppressant. Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. this combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with common cold, allergies, hay fever, sinusitis and other respiratory illnesses.

    How to use Cold Capsule: Take this pill as prescribed. do not increase your dose or take it more often than directed. Capsule dose forms must be swallowed whole.

    Cold Capsule side effects: Mild dizziness, mild drowsiness, headache, nervousness, restlessness, loss about appetite, nausea or dry mouth may occur the first several days as youre body adjusts to med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your physician if you develop chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, tremors, extreme nervousness, hallucinations. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

    Cold Capsule Precautions: Tell your healthcare professional if you have: heart disease, high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, allergies (especially drug allergies). dollars this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult your healthcare professional promptly if it contains PPA or if you are uncertain this product has PPA. it medication should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your doctor. since small amounts of this med are found in breast milk, consult youre physician before breast-feeding.

    Cold Capsule drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may use, including: blood pressure medications, drugs used to reduce weight, heart medication, medication that prevents drowsiness, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't use this product together with an MAO inhibitor, or for two weeks after stopping the MAO inhibitor drug. don't start or stop any medicine with-out doctor or pharmacist approval.

    Cold Capsule Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dizziness, hyperactivity, slow or shallow breathing, blurred vision, or unconsciousness.

    Cold Capsule special notes: Drink plenty about fluids, especially water while taking this medication. it will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.

    If you missed Cold Capsule dose: If you miss dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near time for the next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.

    Cold Capsule Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in the bathroom.
