    Children's Ibuprofen Usage: Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory tablet (NSAID), which relieves pain and swelling (inflammation). it is used to treat headaches, muscle aches, backaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, arthritis, or athletic injuries. this medication is also used to reduce fever & to relieve minor aches & pain due to the common cold or flu. it drug works by blocking enzyme in your body that makes prostaglandins. Decreasing prostaglandins helps to reduce pain, swelling, & fever. do not give this medication to children younger than two years of age unless directed to do so by the doctor.

    How to use Children's Ibuprofen: Shake bottle well before each dose. Measure out each dose carefully & take it pill by mouth with a full glass (8 oz or 240 ml) of water unless your healthcare professional directs you otherwise. do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after taking it drug. If stomach upset occurs while taking this drug, take it with food, milk, or an antacid. the dosage is based on your medical condition & response to therapy. in children, the dosage is also based on weight. Read the product instructions to find the appropriate dose for your child's weight, or consult the healthcare professional or physician if you have questions. If repeat doses needed, they are usually given 6 or 8 hours apart; or as directed by pharmacist. in certain conditions (e.g., arthritis), it may take up to two weeks, taken regularly, before full benefits of this drug take effect. If you use this pill for migraine headache, & pain is not relieved or worsens after the 1st dose, tell your physician immediately. If you are treating yourself or giving it medication to child for undiagnosed fever or pain, consult doctor immediately if symptoms don't improve within 24 hours, worsen or last for more than 3 days, or if new symptoms appear.

    Children's Ibuprofen side effects: Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, headache, diarrhea, constipation, drowsiness, & dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or physician promptly. Tell your healthcare professional immediately if any of these serious side effects occur: stomach pain, swelling of the hands or feet, sudden or unexplained weight gain, ringing in the ears (tinnitus). Tell your physician immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, rapid or pounding heartbeat, easy bruising or bleeding. Tell your pharmacist immediately if any of these highly unlikely but very serious side effects occur: change in amount of urine, severe headache, very stiff neck, mental/mood changes, persistent sore throat or fever. this medication may infrequently cause serious (rarely fatal) bleeding from stomach or intestines. If you notice any of following unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen and consult your healthcare professional or physician immediately: black stools, persistent stomach/abdominal pain, vomit that looks like coffee grounds. it medication may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. If you notice any of following highly unlikely but very serious side effects, stop taking ibuprofen & consult your healthcare professional or pharmacist immediately: yellowing eyes & skin, dark urine, unusual/extreme tiredness. An allergic reaction to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms about an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact you're doctor or pharmacist.

    Children's Ibuprofen Precautions: it medication must not be used if you have certain medical conditions. Before using this medicine, consult youre doctor or healthcare professional if you have: severe kidney disease, allergies to aspirin or other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib). Before using it medication, tell your doctor or physician your medical history, especially of: kidney disease, liver disease, poorly controlled diabetes, stomach problems (e.g., bleeding, ulcers), heart disease (e.g., congestive heart failure), high blood pressure, swelling (edema, fluid retention), dehydration, blood disorders (e.g., anemia), bleeding or clotting problems, asthma, growths in nose (nasal polyps), history of an allergic reaction with symptoms of lip/tongue/throat swelling (angioedema), any allergies in addition to those listed above. it drug may make you dizzy or drowsy; use caution engaging in activities requiring alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. it medicine may cause stomach bleeding. daily use of alcohol and tobacco, especially when combined with this medicine, may increase your risk since stomach bleeding. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more information. it medication may make you more sensitive to sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure, tanning booths or sunlamps. Use a sunscreen & wear protective clothing when outdoors. this product may contain sugar. Caution is advised if you have diabetes. Ask your physician or pharmacist about the safe use of this product. Caution is advised when using this medication in elderly because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of the med, especially stomach bleeding & kidney effects. this medication should be used only when clearly needed during 1-st 6 months of pregnancy. It's not recommended for use during last 3 months of pregnancy due to potential since serious fetal harm & interference with normal labor/delivery. Discuss the risks & benefits with you're doctor. it medication passes into breast milk. While there have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your physician before breast-feeding.

    Children's Ibuprofen drug interactions: Before using this drug, tell some your healthcare professional or pharmacist about all prescription & nonprescription products you may use, especially about: alendronate, other medications for arthritis (e.g., aspirin, methotrexate), 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin), corticosteroids (e.g., prednisone), cyclosporine, hypertension drugs (including ACE inhibitors such as captopril, angiotensin II receptor antagonists such as losartan, & beta-blockers such as metoprolol), lithium, other NSAIDs (e.g., naproxen, celecoxib), 'water pills' (diuretics such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide, triamterene). check every prescription and nonprescription medicine labels carefully since much contain pain relievers/fever reducers (NSAIDs such as aspirin or naproxen) which similar to this drug. If you also taking aspirin, as prescribed by you're healthcare professional for reasons such as heart attack or stroke prevention (usually these dosages are 81-325 mg per day), continue to take the aspirin & consult you're healthcare professional or pharmacist before using ibuprofen. do not start or stop any medicine with out healthcare professional or pharmacist approval.

    Children's Ibuprofen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe stomach pain, coffee ground-like vomit, unusually fast or slow heartbeat, trouble breathing, extreme drowsiness, loss of consciousness, or seizures.

    Children's Ibuprofen special notes: do not share this drug with others. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be performed periodically to monitor your progress or money for side effects. Consult your physician for more details.

    If you missed Children's Ibuprofen dose: If you prescribed this med on a regular schedule (not just 'as needed') & you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If It's near time about next dose, skip the missed dose & resume you're usual dosing schedule. do not double the dose to catch up.

    Children's Ibuprofen Storage: Store in room temperature according to product directions away from light & moisture. do not store in the bathroom. Keep every medicines away from children & pets.
