    Methenamine/methylene blue/benzoic/phenyl sal/atropine/hyoscyamine

    (meth-en-uh-meen/meth-ih-leen blue/ben-zoh-ick/feen-ill sal-iss- uh-late/at-trow-peen/hi-oh-sye-uh-meen)

    common brand names: Dolsed, Prosed/DS, Uretron, Uridon, Urised

    Warning: child and teenagers must not use aspirin, aspirin- containing or aspirin-related drugs for flu symptoms or chickenpox without first consulting doctor. a rare but serious illness known as Reye's syndrome may occur.

    Urinary Antiseptic Usage: this medication contains anti-infective, pain reliever, & antispasmodic ingredients. It's used to treat urinary tract infections and helps to relieve pain, burning, urinary urgency and frequency & other associated symptoms.

    How to use Urinary Antiseptic: Take it medication as directed at evenly spaced interval around time. Continue taking it for full time prescribed even if symptoms disappear. Stopping therapy too early may result in ineffective treatment & can lead to re-infection. Take each dose with a full glass of water & drink plenty of fluids while taking it.

    Urinary Antiseptic side effects: Nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, blurred vision, & nervousness may occur. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your pharmacist. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water or use saliva substitute. this drug causes urine &, possibly, stools to turn blue-green in color. do not be alarmed. this effect is temporary & will disappear when the drug is stopped. Notify your physician if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, fever, eye pain, painful urination, mental confusion, skin rash. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact some your doctor or pharmacist.

    Urinary Antiseptic Precautions: Tell youre pharmacist if you have: kidney problems, liver disease, stomach or intestinal disorders, glaucoma, allergies (especially pill allergies). Because it medication may cause drowsiness or blurred vision, use caution driving or performing tasks requiring alertness. this medication must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss risks & benefits with youre doctor. Its not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult your healthcare professional before breast-feeding.

    Urinary Antiseptic tablet interactions: Tell you're pharmacist about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you use, especially of: blood pressure meds, antidepressants, sulfa antibiotics. don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or physician approval.

    Urinary Antiseptic Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms about overdose may include: fast heartbeat, dizziness, blurred vision, seizures, slowed or shallow breathing.

    Urinary Antiseptic special notes: do not share this medication with others.

    If you missed Urinary Antiseptic dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the clock for following dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Urinary Antiseptic Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
