Tripedia Usage: this drug is given to provide protection (immunity) against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis diseases in children from 6 weeks of age up to seven years of age.
How to use Tripedia: this medication is given by injection into muscle (IM) by health care professional. Shake it medication well before using. It's usually given in the upper arm or in the upper thigh. the recommended vaccination schedule is dose at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months & 15 or 20 months with a booster dose at prior to entering school at 4-6 years of age. Before using, money this product visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid.
Tripedia side effects: the majority of the common is redness, warmth, swelling or pain at injection site beginning within 3 days. for some weeks, it may be possible to feel firm, hard spot in the injection site. Mild fever, irritability, vomiting, loss of appetite, sleepiness, weakness, runny nose, diarrhea may last 1-7 days. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform you're pharmacist. Notify your doctor if any of the following occur: high fever, persistent inconsolable crying (beginning within 48 hours of shot & lasting longer than 3 hours), seizure, collapse. An allergic reaction to this medication is unlikely, but seek immeditial healthcare attention if this occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact your healthcare professional or doctor.
Tripedia Precautions: Tell your pharmacist your medical history, especially of: other illnesses or infections, bleeding disorders, seizure disorders, any allergies. this vaccine shouldnot be administered to adults or to kid 7 years of age or older. this age group should receive tetanus/diphtheria vaccine without pertussis. this vaccination shouldnot be used in persons who have had previous reaction to pertussis vaccine or who have recovered from pertussis illness.
Tripedia medication interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription med you may take including: steroids (e.g., prednisone), cancer chemotherapy drugs, immunosuppressants, 'blood thinners' (e.g., warfarin). do not start or stop any medicine with out doctor or doctor approval.
Tripedia Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

If you missed Tripedia dose: Its important to receive each vaccination as scheduled. Be sure to make a note of when the vaccination was last given for you're medical record.
Tripedia Storage: Refrigerate this medication between 36 & 46 degrees F (2-8 degrees C). do not freeze. Discard product if it has been frozen. Keep all medicines away from kid and pets.
