Gfn 800 Dm 30 Usage: Guaifenesin is an expectorant which helps to loosen mucus. Dextromethorphan is a cough suppressant. it combination medication is used to treat cough associated with the common cold, allergies and other respiratory illnesses.
How to use Gfn 800 Dm 30: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase you're dose or take this more often than directed. Capsules & long-acting tablets must be swallowed whole with a full glass about water. do not crush or chew them. long action will be destroyed & chance of side effects will be increased.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 side effects: Headache, dizziness, loss about appetite, nausea or vomiting may occur first several days as you're body adjusts to the med. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these effects while taking this med: skin rash, trouble breathing. Use caution driving or operating machinery if this medication makes you feel dizzy. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or healthcare professional.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 Precautions: Tell you're doctor your medical history, especially of: lung disease (e.g., asthma, emphysema), any allergies. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your pharmacist. since small amounts of this drug found in breast milk, consult you're pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 pill interactions: Tell your physician of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine). don't start or stop any medicine without doctor or doctor approval.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, blurred vision, slowed breathing, & seizures.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it medication. this will help to break up mucus and clear congestion.
If you missed Gfn 800 Dm 30 dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if It's near the time for following dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.
Gfn 800 Dm 30 Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. don't store in bathroom.
