Decongestant/narcotic antitussive/antihistamine - oral
Cytuss HC Usage: Decongestants relieve nasal stuffiness. the low-dose narcotic antitussive helps control a cough. the antihistamine is for relief from sneezing, runny nose, water eyes. this combination product is used to treat symptoms associated with common colds, allergies, hay fever and another respiratory illnesses.
How to use Cytuss HC: Take it medication as prescribed. Be sure to follow instructions closely. do not increase your dose or take this more often then directed. it medication is best taken with full glass of water after a meal or snack.
Cytuss HC side effects: Dizziness, drowsiness, headache, loss of appetite, nausea, stomach upset or dry mouth may occur the 1st some days as your body adjusts to the medication. If any about these effects continue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from seated or lying position, get up slowly. Also limit you're intake of alcoholic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Notify your healthcare professional if you develop: chest pain, rapid pulse, skin rash, hypertension, difficulty urinating, tremors, nervousness, hallucinations, breathing trouble. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your physician or physician.
Cytuss HC Precautions: Tell your doctor if you have: kidney disease, heart disease, lung disease, asthma, emphysema, HBP, an overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, prostate trouble, depression, a history of drug dependency, any allergies. Use caution performing tasks requiring alertness if this drug causes you to feel drowsy. cash this product's ingredient list for phenylpropanolamine (PPA). FDA has issued warnings regarding PPA side effects. Consult you're pharmacist promptly if it contains PPA or if you uncertain it product has PPA. this drug must be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks & benefits with your physician. since small amounts of this pill are found in breast milk, consult your pharmacist before breast-feeding.
Cytuss HC drug interactions: Tell your doctor about any over-the-counter or prescription drug you may take, including: blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, sedatives, tranquilizers, sleeping meds, MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), cimetidine, narcotic pain drug (e.g., codeine). Limit youre intake of alcoholic beverages while taking it med. do not start or stop any medicine with out physician or healthcare professional approval.
Cytuss HC Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact some your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include drowsiness, headache, dizziness, weakness, profuse sweating, slow or quick heartbeat, slow or shallow breathing, hyperactivity, fever, seizures, or unconsciousness.
Cytuss HC special notes: Drink plenty of fluids, especially water while taking it drug. it will help to break up mucus & clear congestion.
If you missed Cytuss HC dose: If you miss dose, take this as soon as remembered; do not take it if this is near the time for next dose, instead, skip missed dose & resume your usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' the dose to catch up.
Cytuss HC Storage: Store at room temperature between 59 & 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat & light. do not store in bathroom.
