    Antipyrine with benzocaine - otic

    (an-tee-pie-reen with ben-zoh-cane)

    common brand names: Auralgan, Aurodex, Auroto

    Allergen Usage: this drug contains benzocaine, topical anesthetic which numbs the skin, & antipyrine, pain reliever. this is used to relieve pain and discomfort of certain ear problems.

    How to use Allergen: this tablet is used in ears as directed. To administer properly, lie on youre side or tilt head so ear faces up. Put the prescribed number about drops into the ear using dropper provided. do not insert dropper into ear and avoid touching dropper to ear or any other surface. To allow the drops to run in to ear canal, hold earlobe up & back at adults and down & back in children. Keep the ear tilted for 1 to two minutes. a soft cotton plug may be gently inserted into the ear to keep the ear drops in place. Use a plug only if directed to do so.

    Allergen side effects: Minor stinging, burning or tenderness of ear may occur when it is 1'st used. If any of these effects continue or become bothersome, or if you're symptoms do not improve within few days, inform your healthcare professional. Notify your healthcare professional if any of following effects occur: irritation, rash, itching. If you notice another effects not listed above, contact youre doctor or pharmacist.

    Allergen Precautions: Tell youre healthcare professional if you have any of following conditions: infection, any allergies. this drug should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. Discuss the risks and benefits with your physician.

    Allergen drug interactions: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription pill you may take. do not start or stop any medicine without physician or physician approval.

    Allergen Overdose: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. this medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If you or someone you know may have taken it medicine by mouth, contact youre local poison control center or emergency room immediately.

    Allergen special notes: for comfort, drops may be warmed to body temperature by rolling the bottle at your hands for some minutes before using them. do not heat in microwave or place in hot water.

    If you missed Allergen dose: If you miss dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if Its almost time since next dose, instead, skip missed dose and resume youre usual dosing schedule. do not 'double-up' dose to catch up.

    Allergen Storage: Store in room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Avoid freezing.
